Eclair Hires Christophe Massie as Head of Preservation and Announces Alliance with French Company Orfeo
Paris-Vanves (France), 28 June 2019/ Eclair, a leader in content services for the motion picture and TV industries (Ymagis – ISIN: FR0011471291, MAGIS, PEA-PME, TECH 40), announces today that it has hired Christophe Massie as the new head of its Preservation division, effective immediately. An alliance has also been struck with Massie’s conservation and media management company, Orfeo SAS. Under the agreement, Orfeo benefits from Eclair’s European sales and business services and relocates from its current premises to Eclair’s Paris-Vanves and Auxerre locations.
Christophe Massie reports directly to Pascal Mogavero, Senior Vice President of Eclair. Massie holds a Master’s in Economics and a postgraduate degree in Law from Université de Paris I, and an Executive MBA from Université de Paris Dauphine/UQAM. In 1989, he co-founded Capital Vision, specializing in archival, storage and promotional solutions for the audiovisual sector, before joining Eclair, where he spent the bulk of his career through 2010 (Deputy CEO and Sales Director at Télétota, Eclair Deputy CEO). In 2012, Massie founded Orfeo, where he launched the DynArchi project (MAM) and initiated the first digital preservation offer for the motion picture sector.
Christophe Massie succeeds Yves Gringuillard, who has been appointed Vice President, Digital Services, comprising theatrical delivery and digital distribution-related activities. A graduate of the Montpellier Business School, Gringuillard joined Eclair in July 2016 as VP, Preservation & Restoration before also taking on the management of the digital distribution division in November 2017.
